Have you considered a home with a dual-Master Bedroom option? This simply means that your home will have two full master suites, each with a private bathroom and closet space. It’s an inviting way to make your extended family and long-term guests feel more comfortable, and having a second master suite can add value to your home.
It’s more and more common today to find floor plans featuring two master bedroom suites because so many prospective homeowners are asking for them. In fact, at least seven of our Greth Homes pre-designed floor plans have dual masters. But why would anyone need two master bedrooms?
When Mom and/or Dad Move In
For many baby boomers, the most effective way to keep an eye on aging family members is to welcome them to move in. Not only would elderly parents be more comfortable with some space and comfort of their own, but who really wants to give up their own master bedroom on a long-term basis? But also consider young families who invite Mom and Dad to move in to help care for their grandchildren. Wouldn’t you want Grandma to have somewhere quiet to retreat to at the end of a busy day running after toddlers? In either case, a dual-master is a great solution.
The Adult Child Returns
With a weak economy over the last decade, empty nests are not so empty anymore. A growing number of adult children have moved back in with their parents following college. Although you may be more than happy to have them back, dual master bedrooms provide the right amount of privacy for those “independent” kids as well as for Mom and Dad.
You Would Like to Rent Out Some Space
Maybe you’ve lost a spouse, and managing the mortgage on your own is too difficult. Renting out a room can be a life saver, but renters need their own space (including a bathroom), particularly if they are not family members. A dual-Master Suite provides plenty of privacy for everyone. Of course, there are many other Greth floor plans that could accommodate a rental arrangement.
When You Can Hear the Snoring in the Next County
Snoring is probably the most common reason for couples to request two master bedrooms! A dual master provides comfort and privacy to both partners, and both parties have a peaceful place to sleep. There are other good reasons, too. Maybe you and your spouse work opposite hours. Maybe your spouse needs special medical care which precludes you from sleeping in the same room. Two separate master bedrooms can make for a much happier – and well-rested – household.
Visit our website and use the filters to check out our floor plans with dual-master bedrooms. Some are single-level homes designed with both masters on the same level. Others are two-story homes with a master suite on each level.
